Winners of the NAMSS Award for Student Services Team of the year in 2025, Heart of Worcestershire College, will host this interesting session looking at how the college’s Wellbeing and Safeguarding Team support their students and foster an environment where mental health and wellbeing are prioritised. Sal Friel will talk through the team’s practices including their exceptional partnership work and how that has led to significant improvements in student achievement and holistic support, particularly for vulnerable learners.

Winners of the NAMSS Inspirational Project of the Year 2025, BMet, will host this session to share with members how working with the Student Commission on Racial Justice (SCRJ) has created a space for students to actively shape and challenge policies related to racial justice, ensuring their voices are central to institutional transformation. Kay and Kit will talk about their project’s tangible impact including students involvement in initiatives such as the “I Will Not Be Silenced” film and the “Pass the Baton” anti-racism festival and, their partnership work with external organisations building a lasting legacy of cultural change routed in student voice.
