NAMSS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Hilton Liverpool City Centre Hotel, Liverpool
NAMSS (National Association for Managers of Student Services), established in 1987 as a registered charity with the Charity Commission, operates as a non profit organisation to provide support and professional development for Managers of Services who support learners in education and training.
Every March NAMSS hosts a National Conference for all members designed to promote the sharing of contemporary practice. This two-day annual event gives like minded professionals the chance to meet in a chosen city and network with over 140 managers and support staff.
NAMSS’ National Conference 2019 will once more be a fabulous two-day event. The Conference, with sponsorship by eSafe, will cover many aspects of student services and student support with a great line up of key note speakers - Paul Joyce (HMI, Deputy Director, FE & Skills, Lily Makurah, National Lead, Public Mental Health and Enid Hendry, Trustee and Co-Chair of BASPCAN's Education, Learning and Policy Committee. New for this year, we are introducing a range of 'master classes' in equality & diversity, achieving NUS Awards for your Students' Union and CSE as experienced by one of the Rotherham survivors. Workshops will cover mental health, restorative practice, online enrolment, college nurse provision, Gatsby benchmarks, attachment disorder and physical intervention and positive handling to name but a few! Our marketplace at Conference will include a wide range of exhibitors offering services and innovative solutions to support your day-to-day operations.
