Student Finance One Day Conference 2011

This sold out one day event was held to offer this opportunity for members to come together and hear about government policy, look at one colleges initial response to the new discretionary scheme and most importantly have a forum to talk through the issues Colleges and students will face.

The day began with a presentation from Trevor Fellowes, Director of Learner Support at the YPLA . There was a presentation from Jim Busher, Head of Student Services at Solihull College and from Kevin Grindley from Waltham Forest College on the London Partnership response to the guidance. The event ended with an extended range of Cafe Conversations giving delegates the chance to share good practice, initial thoughts, concerns and responses on a range of issues concerning financial support for students.
