Developing Independent Learners Through the Tutorial Programme

In teaching we find that teachers are working harder and harder to get results and students are letting us do more of the work. This is one College’s approach to attempt to tackle this situation by combining various techniques to develop students independent learning skills. We have used techniques in the pastoral system and techniques in the classroom and this year we are combining these together to develop a whole college approach. This workshop will share our approach to this problem and give a few practical examples.
