Types of Membership
Full
Full membership of the Association is made by the Institution.
Benefits include a reduced rate at annual conference, membership of Regional Group meetings and access to the NAMSS JISCmail discussion group and members area of the website, which has various useful sections including access to current and previous Newsletters, Consultation Documents and responses, Resource Library, reports from previous Conferences, as well as minutes of previous Executive, Regional, Finance Group and Enrichment Subgroup meetings. You will also receive the NAMSS Newsletter and regular email updates on the latest issues affecting student services and you will have voting rights at the AGM.
The subscription for Full membership is currently £130 per year (1 September - 31 August).
Associate
The Associate Membership Scheme introduced last year proved to be very popular with more that 20 institutions taking up the offer of
nominating Student Services staff other than the named representative to have the benefits of NAMSS (excluding voting rights at the AGM).
Larger institutions with many campuses, or those that have grown by merger, have found this a particularly useful means of ensuring that all relevant staff can access the information, experience and comment provided through JISCmail and Newsletter at first hand - not forgetting the Regional Meetings.
So why not give it some consideration - the Associate Membership fee for this year is £80 and can be arranged with
the NAMSS Administrator, Tina Philp tina.philp(at)namss.ac.uk
Corporate
Corporate membership covers all the benefits of Full membership and allows up to 3 Associate members as well. This new category of membership is proving very popular. For £250 a year its good value for money. To upgrade your current membership from full to corporate please email Tina Philp at tina.philp(at)namss.ac.uk.
Individual
Individuals, not currently working in a college, may join NAMSS. Individual members have the benefits of full membership NAMSS, excluding voting rights at the AGM.
Individual membership is currently £80 per year (1 September - 31 August).
