Learner Support Guidance for Providers
Learner Support Provider Guidance documents for 2010/11 are now available to download for the schemes, Adult Learning Grant, Education Maintenance Allowance and Discretionary Learner Support. These documents replace the Guidance documents for 2009/10 and are designed to advise Providers involved in the administration of learner support about how to operate the schemes within their organisation and how to get the best from them.

A conference to share a best practice model for improving outcomes for learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities is being held on the 8th October In London.
Action for Inclusion is a successful and well established model of capacity building through collaborative working developed by providers in the South East that offers

- cost-effective solutions for Local Authorities in meeting their statutory duties
- processes and tools for mapping provision and identifying need, and reviewing the curriculum
- innovative curriculum developments
- opportunities to improve practice of equality, diversity and inclusion and Ofsted grades
- an initiative based on sector expertise and led by experienced practitioners
